Who is responsible

Newsletter subscriptions

When you subscribe to the Resilience Brief, the site stores your email address, subscription status and relevant subscription, confirmation and unsubscribe timestamps. A confirmation email is sent before alerts begin. The information is used only to send brief notifications when new articles are published and to manage your subscription.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email. An unsubscribed address may be retained in a suppression record so that it is not contacted again unless you deliberately resubscribe.

Engagement information

The site records limited events such as the page path viewed, event type and referring page so that article and page engagement can be understood. It is not designed to store a named visitor profile or a persistent visitor identifier.

Cookies

Public visitors are not intentionally given analytics or advertising cookies. A strictly necessary, secure session cookie is used after an authorised administrator signs in, allowing the dashboard session to continue across page refreshes.

Service providers

The website uses Vercel for the frontend, Railway for the application server, Aiven for PostgreSQL data storage, Cloudflare R2 for uploaded media and Brevo for transactional subscription emails. These providers process information only as needed to deliver and operate the service.

Retention and security

Information is retained only for as long as it supports the purposes described above, legal obligations and service recovery. Administrative access is restricted, credentials are kept outside the code repository, connections use encryption in transit and operational backups are access-controlled.

Your choices and rights

You may ask what personal information is held about you, request correction or deletion, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw newsletter consent. Contact the address above. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office or the relevant data protection authority where you live.
